With over 17 years of experience in world championship motor sport, Mark Hughes is one of the most experienced motorsport professionals at Yas Marina Circuit.

Mark started his circuit career at Brands Hatch and has since worked across the globe advising tracks in India, Russia and Singapore. In 2004 Mark was appointed as Operations Director for Bahrain International Circuit where he oversaw the entire circuit operation for 6 years. In addition to this, Mark was also on the Board of Motorsport Development UK, an organization established to advise the UK government on motorsport matters.

More recently, Mark was Vice President – Operations for the new F1 circuit being constructed in India. In December 2010, he was lured back to Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi. A track he helped establish in 2009. As Operations Director, Mark is responsible for Venue & Event Management, Sporting. Logistics, Facilities Management, Security and Catering.
