The Supply Chain &
Logistics Group (SCLG) of Middle East is a
non-profit organisation established to promote
the cause of supply chain & logistics. This
group brings an opportunity of education,
training, seminar and networking among like
minded professionals and corporations on global
basis. The group
is now operating with the legal backing of the
Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is
founded with the help of senior management
professionals representing variety of industries
on Supply Chain. This group shall strive to
bring the best of education, seminars and
interaction through partnership/ alliances with
a variety of similar bodies across the globe.

The National Association of
Freight and Logistics (NAFL) was founded in the
United Arab Emirates in 1992 to bring together
in one body all major players in the country’s
freight forwarding and logistics industry.
From a total of 24 members at
the time of its inception, NAFL has now grown
more than ten-fold with a current roster of
almost 300 members. This growth signifies the
important role of the NAFL to develop the
freight and logistics industry in the UAE.
The NAFL is also active in
initiating collaborative partnerships with
relevant government bodies that support local
and international initiatives and policies,
especially with regard to the regulation and
development of the freight forwarding and
logistics industry.
Ultimately, the NAFL’s
vision is to become the collective voice of the
UAE’s freight forwarding and logistics
industries that sets the benchmark for best
practices within the region, as well as on the
global logistics arena.

The
Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport
is a worldwide organisation with an established
International pedigree. With over 33,000 members
working in over 100 countries, the CILT spans
the globe. It is an organisation that offers
significant benefits to all its members, as well
as a complete suite of educational courses
internationally.
Since
its launch in 2002 CILT - UAE Council has manage
to attract 150 members and membership continuous
to grow as the professional people from the
industry, business community and students
studying an MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain
with different universities has recognised the
importance and beneficial of becoming members of
CILT International.
The
principal objective of the Institute is "To
promote and encourage the art and science of
logistics and transport". The Institute achieves
this objective through both its membership and
its educational qualifications. Membership
provides a professional identity to those in the
logistics, transport and supply chain sector an
international recognition. |
